I took a much needed long weekend and headed up to the White Mountains for some R&R. It was 15 degrees colder and true mountain weather – I never experienced such wind gusts! But the grass was green and the sun broke through the rolling clouds for an entire afternoon. It was wonderful to slow down – I stayed in bed for an extra hour just reading in the morning, ate stacks of pancakes with warm maple syrup, and roasted marshmallows in a firepit made from what seemed like mid-sized boulders. The dress and sweater I’m wearing are embroidered with flowers and scrolling lines and, oh, the I love the fringe! It feels so Pocahontas, it just makes me so happy. Though I’m home now and back to the daily grind, it’s a little getaway I’ll always remember. Where do you all go to escape?

Hi Christine! What a lovely cardigan! You’re right, it does have a Pocahontas feel to it! I also love your blue dress! Very Bohemian and pretty! Sounds like a great little escape! My escape place is usually my room but I also go to the park behind my apartment when I want to unwind. xoxoxoo

I like your knitted sweater. I hope it keeps you warm though. Really nice!

The cardigan sweater is fantastic! Love the embroidery and the fringe. The details also go so well with that dress. Glad you enjoyed your getaway. I love taking short trips like that as well (far away from people & technology). Really helps clear your head and relaxes you!
